Access Funds
The 'Access Funds' website provides frequently updated information on sources of funding for the UK non-profit sector. Covering EU, central and local government and lottery funding, the site also provides information about charitable trusts and fundraising.www.access-funds.co.uk
Awards for All
Awards for All is a Lottery grants programme aimed at local communities. It awards grants for projects that get people involved in their community through arts, sport, heritage, social, environmental, health-related, educational and other community activities. Grants of between £300 and £10,000 are available through a simple, straightforward application process.www.awardsforall.org.uk
Big Lottery Fund
The Big Lottery Fund was formed from the merger of the Community Fund and the New Opportunities Fund. It provides funding for health, education, environment and charitable purposes.www.biglotteryfund.org.uk
Esmée Fairbairn Foundation
The Esmée Fairbairn Foundation is one of the largest independent grantmaking foundations in the UK and aims through its funding to improve the quality of life, particularly for people and communities that face disadvantage.www.esmeefairbairn.org.uk
Government Funding
The Government Funding portal includes funding opportunities from all relevant Whitehall departments. Subscription to the portal is FREE to voluntary organisations with a turnover under £500,000, otherwise there is a subscription fee from £75.www.governmentfunding.org.uk
Heritage Lottery Fund
The Heritage Lottery Fund is the UK’s leading funder of the UK’s diverse heritage. It funds the entire spread of heritage – including buildings, museums, natural heritage and the heritage of cultural traditions and language.www.hlf.org.uk

This is a FREE online resource dedicated to volunteer fundraisers. There is lots of useful information on running events, law and best practice, maximising donation and so on. There is also a place for volunteers to share what they know if they want to. Improving Support for the Third Sector
Improving Support is a joint initiative to strengthen the support services available to third sector organisations. It is co-ordinated by Capacitybuilders and funded through its National Support Services programme. Institute of Fundraising

Lloyds TSB Foundation
The Foundation funds UK-wide projects whose main aim is to tackle disadvantage . Nationwide Foundation
The Foundation makes charitable grants to UK based organisations whose aim is to improve the quality of life and the range of opportunities for those in need. Sport England
National Lottery funding for sport is distributed through Sport England. Both Lottery and Exchequer funds are targeted through two investment streams:Community Investment Fund which is allocated through nine Regional Sports Boards, and the National investment is distributed in conjunction with national sports governing bodies plus a range of other partners. The Football Foundation is a funding partnership of the FA Premier League, the Football Association, Sport England and Government.

York and North Yorkshire Community Foundation
The Community Foundation administers a small number of easy to access funds for local projects with grants ranging between £100 and £5,000.
