If you are completely or relatively new to fundraising, Funding Central provides a guided search enabling you to identify the most appropriate funding and finance opportunities that best suit you and the beneficiaries that you support. As an experienced fundraiser, you can drill down through thousands of opportunities to identify the most appropriate funding or finance for your organisation using the advanced search. As a funder you will have access to your own exclusive area - the Funder Zone. Here you can explore statistics on your funding programmes or contracts, including web visits and comments made and add your own helpful hints to support fund-seekers. As an infrastructure organisation you can use Funding Central to access a wealth of support materials to enhance your work with other groups and identify funding and finance opportunities for your own needs.

Govenernment Office Yorkshire and The Humber

On the GOYH website you will find information about the Government Office as they join up the work of 11 Central Government Departments across Yorkshire and The Humber, and feedback the region’s views and unique needs to Whitehall. The Government Office for Yorkshire and The Humber works with organisations across the Region to deliver Government policies and programmes and to contribute a regional perspective in their development.


The social, economic and environmental diversity of Yorkshire and The Humber is important. As the representative of central Government in the region, GOYH promotes effective integration of policies and programmes so that they reflect priorities at regional and local level. Learning and Skills Council Yorkshire and Humber

The Learning and Skills Council exists to make England better skilled and more competitive. Their goal is to improve the skills of England’s young people and adults to ensure we have a workforce of world-class standard. The LSC is a non-departmental public body which began work in 2001, taking over the roles of the former Further Education Funding Council and Training and Enterprise Councils. The LSC is responsible for planning and funding high quality education and training for everyone in England other than those in universities. The national office is based in Coventry and nine regional offices oversee the work of local partnership teams throughout the county.

Established in 1998, the Compact is an agreement between Government and the voluntary and community sector in England. Regional Forum for Yorkshire and Humber

The Regional Forum provides a coherent regional voice for the voluntary and community sector in Yorkshire and the Humber. It is a member led network of networks with over 150 members. Yorkshire Forward

Yorkshire Forward is the Regional Development Agency charged with improving the Yorkshire and Humber economy. Yorkshire Forward was set up by Government to promote sustainable economic development throughout the Yorkshire and Humber region. It supports the expansion and development of business in the region by encouraging public and private investment, and by connecting people to economic opportunity. It works to improve levels of education, learning and skills, and to enhance the region's environment and infrastructure. The site contains a range of information including a calendar of events, Image Bank and downloadable key documents such as the Regional Economic Strategy (RES) 2006 – 2015.
